First Meeting of Iberoamerican Poetry
The Comitee of Culture of the Mexico City Government took the good decision of organizing a meeting for Iberoamerican Poetry last week. As part of it, some public readings took place with some of the most important contemporary poets of Latinamerica and Spain.
It was so beautiful, though I have to say that the fact that they are good poets does not necessarily make them good readers of Poetry.
I am always impressed by the way the written word can touch your heart...
I specially liked the work of Waldo Leyva, Arturo Corcuera, Hector Carreto, Ricardo Castillo, Antonio Mari, Efrain Bartolome, Francisco Hernandez, Jacobo Rauskin, Ali Chumacero and Raul Zurita.
Since posting a poem of each in this same note would take a lot of space (and time to read), I think I will add them little by little. And I still have to translate...
